I read a few years back that if a person devoted one hour a day for five years to studying about a specific subject … that at the end of five years they would be a world renowned expert on that subject.
If that is true, then it says alot about the lack of experts we have in the world. And it says a lot about our inability to commit to one thing!
We say, “I want my faith to grow.”
We say, “I wish I knew more about the Bible.”
We have good intentions, but lack of commitment.
I want to challenge you to spend a year (not five) in the Bible with me.
At the end of the year, we will hopefully have grown our faith and learned some more about the Bible.
Every day we will read a part of the Bible. We will be using a unique Bible reading plan that allows us to read the Bible in a chronological sequence. You can find the order here or you can pick up a copy of the reading order at my church.
I will leave my comments here. Feel free to add your comments as well.
If you miss a couple of days .. that’s okay … this is a place you can catch up. I have some catching up to do myself.
So get ready … you can start at anytime … you have time to make your plans or even get a head start. I will be catching up this week so you give yourself a break. The year is young there is still time to make a commitment to learning more about the Bible and growing your faith.
